Frequently asked questions

+Is Rechto a lawyer?

No. Rechto is an automated legal analysis service. It cites the official Belgian texts it relies on and tells you when you need a lawyer.

+How does the maximum price work?

Before you pay, Rechto estimates how complex your case is and shows a maximum amount. It is held on your card, not charged. At the end, only the work actually done is charged; the rest is released.

+Why have a lawyer send the letter?

In Belgium, a formal notice sent by a lawyer or bailiff interrupts the limitation period. Sent by you, it remains a reminder but without that effect.

+Is my information protected?

Your account is protected by two-step verification. Your cases are visible only to you and are never sold or used for advertising.

Rechto is not a law firm and does not replace a lawyer in court. Rechto provides automated legal analysis based on official Belgian sources, and letter templates. For a complex dispute, Rechto refers you to a partner lawyer.
